چکیده

The need for small, reliable, and accurate microsystems that can remotely monitor earth and extraterrestrial environments has increased demand for single-chip microinstruments with long lifetimes. This paper presents work toward a monolithic, lowpower, mixed-signal microcontroller that is capable of measuring, processing, and storing data from liquid chemical sensors. The system consists of a potentiostatic interface circuit, programmable gain amplifier, analog-to-digital converter, microprocessor core, on-chip memory, and a CMOS-MEMS monolithic clock reference. The microinstrument was designed in TSMC’s 0.18 μm CMOS process and operates from a nominal 1.8 V supply that is scalable down to 900 mV. The system consumes 50 mW at a nominal operating frequency of 62.5 MHz.

Optimization of grid independent diesel-based hybrid system for power generation using improved particle swarm optimization algorithm

The power supply of remote sites and applications at minimal cost and with low emissions is an important issue when discussing future energy concepts. This paper presents modeling and optimization of a photovoltaic (PV)/wind/diesel system with batteries storage for electrification to an off-grid remote area located in Rafsanjan, Iran. For this location, different hybrid systems are studied and ...

Comparison and analysis of two natural adsorbents of Sorghum and Ziziphus nummularia pyrene for removal of Erythrosine dye from aquatic environments

One pollutant which seriously threatens water resources is dye. Therefore, finding a suitable method to separate the dye in water resources is very important. An adsorption process that uses low cost adsorbents is considered as an efficient strategy for this purpose. In this study, Erythrosine dye removal from an aquatic environment using natural absorbents, namely Sorghum and Ziziphus nummular...

Inactivation of Gram-Negative Bacteria by Low-Pressure RF Remote Plasma Excited in N2-O2 Mixture and SF6 Gases

The role of low-pressure RF plasma in the inactivation of Escherichia coli O157, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Proteus mirabilis, and Enterobacter sakazakii using N2-O2 and SF6 gases was assessed. 1×109 colony-forming units (CFUs) of each bacterial isolate were placed on three polymer foils. The effects of pressure, power, distance from the source, and exposure time to plasma gases were optimized. The...

Reconfiguration and optimal placement of distributed generations in distribution networks in the presence of remote voltage controlled bus using exchange market algorithm

Abstract: Since distribution networks have a large share of the losses in power systems, reducing losses in these networks is one of the key issues in reducing the costs of global networks, including issues Which has always been considered. In this thesis, the reconfiguration of the distribution network in the presence of distributed generation sources (DGs) with respect to two types of bus, P ...
